Health Tips
The more we do to take care of our own health, the better the outcome of any treatment.

The following are some simple everyday things we can do to keep your physical health on the right track:

Drink lots of water.  Water keeps body tissues hydrated and makes any body work substantially more effective.
The 8 glasses per day is a reasonable goal.

Be aware of how you are using your knees when you stand or walk.  Do NOT "lock" your knees.  By keeping your knees properly
"unlocked" you will find you have less strain in your lower back.

Check in with your body.  Throughout the day, focus on tense areas in your body and see if you can relax them, even for a short time.

Using your breath is a great tool for relaxing tense muscles and releasing tension.  Breathe all the way up to your sternum and let
your rib cage move.

Stretches – Stretching is a way of reminding the nervous system that our bodies want and like lengthened muscles. Hold the
stretch until you get a nice release. Don’t “bounce” or “jerk” your stretches.

There are more techniques learned through the "10 Series".

We have a small library where people can sign out books that might be of interest to their health, eg. Dr.Derry's 'Iodine and
Breast Cancer' or Allen Carr's 'The easy way to stop smoking'.
